IFMA

The world association IFMA on the way to the Olympic Games

Thai boxing, also known as Muay Thai, is a full-contact sport with unique challenges. As the name suggests, this martial art has its origins in Thailand. Traditional rituals combine fist, kick, knee, elbow, and clinch techniques, resulting in a realistic fight display. It is not for nothing that Muay Thai is considered one of the most demanding martial arts worldwide. With the founding of the IFMA (International Federation of Amateur Muaythai) in 1993, the sport in the amateur sector was given global guidelines. Amateur competitions are held under the IFMA in more than 130 countries. The association not only stands for the spread of the sport but is also committed to the safety of the athletes. The IFMA organizes world, European and junior world championships independently. Due to the outstanding association work, Muaythai received recognition from the Olympic Committee under the auspices of the IFMA in 2016. Therefore, it is possible to experience Muaythai at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

A young world association is striving for great goals: International Federation of Amateur Muaythai.

Innovations in martial arts are as diverse as the “Nong Han” shin guards.

Diversity simply makes our lives more colorful. TOP TEN brings the idea of diversity to martial arts and creates a top-class safety tool with the “Nong Han” shin guards. While the protective performance of the imitation leather protectors looks back on the experience of the martial arts giant, the design is a homage to creativity, courage, and inventiveness. The combination of floral ornaments, together with meaningful lettering, creates a sporty work of art. On the back of the “Nong Han” shin guards, wearing comfort is at the top thanks to the sweat-wicking and skin-friendly inner lining. The protectors are perfectly shaped and fit snugly on the leg, which means that the high-damping MLP padding protects the sensitive shin bone and instep area from injuries. Experience the variety of your sport and ensure a successful appearance in the ring with the TOP TEN shin guards “Nong Han.”

With the IFMA, Thai boxing gets a new platform.

Making Thai boxing accessible to a broad audience and athletes requires a lot of commitment and team spirit. The IFMA made it possible as the world association in Muaythai and set itself new, essential goals with the Olympics. From the beginning, it was important for the International Federation of Amateur Muaythai to show transparency. With the subordination to WADA (World Anti-Doping Agency), the sport offers openness to the outside world and protects the active participants in the organized competitions. As a world association, the IFMA as a representative of Muaythai is the focus of many observers.
