The founding of World Boxing in 2023 in Frankfurt am Main marked the beginning of a new era for boxing. The association's goal is clear: to promote and organize amateur boxing worldwide, with a focus on grassroots sport and fair competition. Thanks to its great commitment and the continuous development of new structures, boxing owes its return to the Olympic stage to the World Boxing Association. Training and fighting according to World Boxing rules and regulations is already taking place on more than five continents. Getting rid of a bad image is a tough task. The colleagues of World Boxing Association President Boris van der Vorst (NED) know this all too well.
