Martial arts for kids – training safely like the grown-ups.
There is no set age for starting martial arts – many kids are ready as early as preschool age if they have a certain degree of independence. Sports that teach good falling techniques and body awareness, such as judo, jujitsu, taekwon-do, or karate, are particularly suitable. Here, the youngest kids learn not only techniques, but also discipline, fairness, and self-confidence, for older kids and teens, boxing, kickboxing, or MMA offer greater challenges. It is important to have gear that is suitable for kids: safety gear that is adapted in size and design promotes safety and acceptance right from the start. In addition, there is training and competition clothing modeled after big role models, so kids feel like real fighters right from the start.
