Judo gi “Todai”

Simply stunning—our “Todai” judo Gi from Hayashi.

From a standing position onto the tatami and straight into ground fighting—that’s how judo works. Safe throwing and falling are part of every judo training session and place high demands on your sports outfit. It’s a good thing the “Todai” is made precisely for these challenges. The shape-retaining and tear-resistant cotton can withstand even intense training sessions. Sturdy seams with durable thread give the Gi additional support. Together with the wide lapel, the “Todai” is perfectly equipped for grappling techniques and the strains of ground fighting.

White and blue—the colors of the judoka.

Admittedly, white isn’t necessarily the easiest color for sports. Many people immediately think of visible sweat stains or other marks. However, the distinctive weave of the “Todai” with its rice-grain pattern ensures a durable surface and gives the judo Gi its signature look. The classic, loose cut also provides plenty of freedom of movement and gives you enough room to execute your techniques. The “Todai” is available in blue as well as white. The blue Gi is used in international competitive judo and makes it easier to distinguish between competitors on the tatami.

A sport for all ages—judo.

If you want to start practicing judo, besides a well-fitting judo Gi, there’s one thing you need above all else: enjoyment of physical activity. In a diverse group, you can train together with others and, step by step, find your own path on the tatami. Whether as a Fitness activity or a competitive sport—judo can be practiced at various skill levels and accompanies you from your first fall training sessions to challenging techniques. The “Todai” judo Gi is a reliable companion for training and club life.
